Disclosure feat. Sam Smith – Omen
Almost three years after the release of Latch, Disclosure and Sam Smith have teamed up once again on a new track called Omen. The swelling dance number is a more low-key track than its predecessor, but still a very catchy tune that will please fans of both artists. The music video is the second installment in a four-part video series following a girl named Mariella.
Janet Jackson feat. J.Cole – No Sleeep
Janet Jacket is back and better than ever. On her first single in five years, Janet brings her signature sultriness to this late-night bedroom track and the video, of course, takes place in a dimly lit home where Janet and guest feature J. Cole walk around serenading each other. The video also gets pretty kaleidoscopic as director Dave Mayers plays with the effects of magnifying glasses and duplicating J. Cole multiple times.
Major Lazer feat. Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley – Powerful
Diplo’s Major Lazer has followed up their summer hit Lean On with another song that is bound to become a hit. Powerful is a beautiful duet featuring Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley and while the song shows off the two singers’ magnetic voices, the music video showcases their supernatural powers as they flex their telekinesis abilities to bend spoons, lift objects and open car doors.
Weezer – Go Away
Weezer and Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino team up on this fun music video that makes fun of dating apps like Tinder. In it, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo tries on a number of different personas in order to win over Cosentino and get her to approve of him on an app called “Winder”. Would you swipe right on this video?
Vance Joy – Fire and the Flood
Taylor Swift tour mate Vance Joy has released a new music video for his single, Fire and the Flood. In the clip, the singer walks through a home that’s been torn apart and, as things rewind, we realize his girlfriend is the one who tore open all the pillows, knocked over all the plants and destroyed all the shelves. Oof, that must’ve been one hell of a fight they had.
Natalie La Rose feat. Fetty Wap – Around the World
Hot off of her collab with Jeremih, Natalie La Rose returns with another stellar collab, this time with rapper Fetty Wap on Around The World. In the video, La Rose picks up a man’s passport and, upon seeing all the places he has traveled to, she fantasizes about all the places she could go with her potential love.
