8 Reasons To Watch The Premiere of ‘Moonbeam City’ Tonight

Moonbeam City Main

The hilarious new series Moonbeam City premieres tonight at 10:30E/7:30P on Much following new episodes of South Park and we cannot freaking wait. The animated show takes place in the 1980s and follows four cops, Chrysalis, Pizzazz, Rad and Dazzle. Names were way cooler in the ’80s.

If cartoons and cops aren’t enough for you, here are 8 more reasons you can’t miss tonight’s series premiere of Moonbeam City at 10:30E/7:30P on Much.

1. Rob Freaking Lowe
That’s right, the leading man of the human world is also the leading man of the animated world. Tune into Moonbeam City to see stone cold fox Lowe play Dazzle Novak, the dim witted cop who isn’t great at his job, but is great at looking great while doing his job.

2. Elizabeth Freaking Banks
Whether she’s playing Effie Trinket or directing Pitch Perfect 2, there’s nothing Elizabeth Banks doesn’t slay. On Moonbeam City, she takes on the bad cop role of Police Chief Pizzazz Miller, the woman who’s difficult to please at work and in bed. Did we mention this wasn’t a cartoon for kids?

3. Kate Freaking Mara
Playing clean cop Chrysalis Tate, Kate Mara is the Betty to Pizzazz’s Veronica. The actress gets to show off her comedic timing and deadpan delivery and doesn’t have to wear that awful wig from Fantastic Four.

4. Will Freaking Forte
The last man on earth is now playing Rad Cunningham, rival to lead Dazzle Novak (these names really are killer). No stranger to the world of animation (or comedy), Forte has appeared on Bob’s Burgers, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, The Cleveland Show,
and Clone High, just to name a few. So yeah, he can do funny anywhere.

5. It’s Educational
We wouldn’t expect you to spend half an hour each week watching a show that isn’t educational! Where else will you learn how to shoot off the top of a champagne bottle? Now that’s classy.

5 Learn tricks

6. Sexy Times
Like any good cop show, the sexy times are plentiful.

7. You May Have A Crush
Don’t be alarmed, but watching Moonbeam City may result in you developing a crush on a cartoon character. It’s Jessica Rabbit all over again.

8. Guest Appearances
As if the impressive cast list of Lowe, Banks, Mara and Forte wasn’t enough star power, there are also guest appearances, including Oscar winner Susan Sarandon. Yeah, this show has OSCAR WINNERS.
