Thanks to years of campaigning by animal rights organizations and a little song that took over the charts this year, pandas are officially off the endangered species list.
Like saying Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice and watching the character appear, it looks like Desiigner’s repetition of the word ‘panda’ had an effect.
The bamboo-loving bears have increased their population by 17 per cent since 2004, a feat that the World Wildlife Foundation is partially attributing to Desiigner’s breakout track “Panda.”

Desiinger responded to the WWF’s tweet with an emoji-filled tweet of his own.
Saving PANDAs 🐼🐼❤️💯🔥🔥🎬💪🏾💪🏾

If Desiigner’s “Panda” can help one endangered animal, maybe Much Creator Jus Reign was really onto something with his polar bear rap at the 2016 iHeartRadio MMVAs.
All is takes is one catchy song with an animal in the title (even though the song has nothing to do with animals) to save the world. Well done, Desiigner.
Now, if we could only figure out what he was saying.
