Beyoncé Adds More Personal Photos To Website Following Pregnancy Announcement

Beyoncé gave the public its first break from bad news in 2017 with yesterday’s announcement that she and husband Jay Z are expecting twins. Bey posted a picture of herself in a Madonna-esque (not the singer) pose and wrote, “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.”

The picture, posted on February 1, possibly as a kick off to Black History Month (no one is better at timing releases than Beyoncé) and quickly broke Selena Gomez’s record for most likes on Instagram in eight hours.

Beyoncé’s pic reached 6.4 million likes in just over seven hours, while Gomez’s 2016 picture from a Coca-Cola shoot, with the singer drinking from a glass bottle displaying her lyrics, earned 6.3 million likes in seven hours.

Beyoncé has now uploaded even more pictures to her site. Posting early this morning, she added additional photos from the shoot, including images that feature her five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and underwater pictures of her pregnant self, plus poetry from Warsan Shire written on place cards in between the photos. Shire’s work was also featured on Beyoncé’s album Lemonade.

The notoriously guarded Beyoncé and her husband Jay Z have also shared a number of family photos on the site, including pictures from their engagement party, wedding, honeymoon and pictures of Beyoncé pregnant with Blue. Click here to see all the new pictures on her website.

It’s going to take a few days for the excitement over Bey having bey-beys to die down, with many fans praising Beyoncé for saving what has so far been a terrible year. Even celebrities are praising Bey for some reprieve from the 2017 news cycle.

so excited about this news!!!! Congratulations to you @Beyonce and my big brother Jay!!!!
