Demi Lovato And Nick Jonas Talk Relationships, Purity Rings, And The Friendzone On The Latest Carpool Karaoke

Nick and Demi Carpool

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas are celebrating 10 years of friendship and what better way to do that than appear as the latest musical guests on James Corden’s viral sensation, Carpool Karaoke.

The besties rode through the sunny streets of L.A. singing and gossiping, with Demi giving James and his cameras the low-down on Nick’s early dating life (it went Miley, then Selena, then Miley and Selena again). The hilarious new video includes poor Jonas being quizzed on when his purity ring made its exit and whether or not the two besties ever thought about leaving the friendzone.

The trio performed Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack” and “Stone Cold,” as well as Jonas’ hits “Chains,” and “Close.” The group even ventured outside the duo’s discography to give Lovato and Jonas the chance to impersonate Nick’s brother Joe for “Cake By The Ocean.”

Hoping for a new gig, Corden convinced Lovato and Jonas to forget the karaoke and go a-capella, allowing the Late Late Show host to audition with Jonas’ track “Jealous” in hopes of being part of the duo’s upcoming Future Now Tour. Taking things a step further, the trio hit the streets of L.A. for their first unofficial show, playing Lovato’s “Confident” in front of a group of lucky passerbys. The showcase went well, but don’t expect to see Corden on stage at the Future Now Tour when it hits your city this summer. Three’s a crowd, after all.

Don’t miss The Late Late Show With James Corden every Monday to Friday at 12:30am ET on CTV. Check out with episodes online here.
