Is M. Night Shyamalan putting Marvel’s trailers together now? First, you had the Spider-Man cameo at the end of the Captain America: Civil War trailer. And now, we are given a little taste of what may come in X-Men: Apocalypse as its final trailer concludes. Spoiler: It’s Wolverine.
Sure, these aren’t necessarily surprises if you’ve really been paying attention. But nonetheless, it’s still exciting to see two of our favourite characters now confirmed to appear in these two huge movies.
So what else can you expect from the upcoming X-Men film? Well, as the trailer shows, we’re introduced to new, younger versions of Cyclops and Jean Grey. Tye Sheridan takes over the role from James Marden as the sunglasses-wearing superhero, and Game Of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner will do her best to replace Famke Janssen as the teenage telepath.
You may have also spotted a little Nightcrawler action in the trailer, and an even more brief shot of fan favourite Jubilee (but unfortunately, still no Gambit). We will also see the return of William Stryker, Havok and Quicksilver to go along with our favourite clawed Canadian.
Fear not if you missed seeing Professor Xavier sans hair. James McAvoy will definitely be bald at some point in the movie. And as always, 93-year-old Stan Lee will make his usual special cameo.
X-Men: Apocalypse claws its way into theatres May 27.
