Actress Hailee Steinfeld is broadening her horizons with the upcoming release of her debut album Haiz. Named after a nickname given to her by fans, Haiz will include Steinfeld’s single Love Myself, as well as her brand new track, Hell Nos and Headphones.
The new disc is set to drop this Friday, the same day as Justin Bieber’s Purpose, One Direction’s final pre-hiatus album Made In The A.M., and Alessia Cara’s Know-It-All. Cara’s debut album will include her breakout single Here, which Steinfeld credits as a big inspiration for her new single.
“Noticing times that I’m uncomfortable is something I’ve learned to do” Steinfeld told Elle Magazine. “I don’t have to conform to being cool or to something I’m not. [Alessia Cara’s] Here really struck a chord with me. This does have the same message of realizing, ‘It’s cool that I was able to go and hang out with friends, but it was just not my night.'”
We love seeing young women inspire one another, especially when it results in music we can dance to!
