The 2015 MTV VMAs are going down this Sunday at 8E/5P on MTV and Much and that means red carpet, performances, video premieres, and speeches, all with the letters OMG before them.
Hosted this year by Miley Cyrus, the show is notorious for catching historic pop culture moments in the making. Cyrus herself almost crashed the internet with twerking when she last performed at the VMAs in 2013 with Robin Thicke. #NeverForget
Sunday’s show will feature the usual award suspects, with Moon Men being given out for everything from Video of the Year to Artist To Watch. Kanye West has just been announced as this year’s recipient of the Video Vanguard Award. That reminds us, we should put the 30-minute extension on our DVR for the show. We have a feeling his speech may go a tad long.
We’re excited to see who will take home Moon Men for actual awards, but what about…fake awards? We think these folks are deserving of some hardware as well.
Best Side Eye: Taylor Swift
From Katy to Avril to Miley, Taylor Swift may have one of the biggest girl squads in music today, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t made a few frenemies along the way.
Most Likely To Give A Speech We Have To Explain To Our Parents: Kanye West
Trust us, he’s gonna finish.
Best Pre-VMA Tweet: Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj kicked open the door on discussions of women in colour in mainstream media with her tweets over her lack of VMA nominations. Minaj definitely deserves an award for bringing attention to an important topic that doesn’t get nearly enough coverage.
If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Best New Dad: Macklemore
The proud new dad is performing during Sunday’s show and after releasing a new song with Ed Sheeran about his baby, we’re pretty sure the rapper won’t be able to make it through his performance without gushing about his little one. Awwwww!
Best Use Of Language Censors: Miley Cyrus
We can’t be sure of what the first-time host is going to say, but we kinda can.
Best New Body: Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato worked hard at the gym to get her Cool For the Summer body and has been showing it off in music videos, interviews, and magazine shoots. We look forward to Demi turning up the heat during her performance this Sunday.
Best Beef: Meek Mill and Drake
Whether it’s during Miley Cyrus’ opening monologue or while a presenter is on stage, someone at some point is going to bring up the biggest beef of 2015, a year that has been far from vegetarian friendly.
Best Stage Crasher: ?
You’ll have to tune in Sunday to see who is worthy of this award. Don’t miss the 2015 MTV VMAs hosted by Miley Cyrus this Sunday starting at 8E/5P on MTV and Much.
