Here’s Your Round-Up On This Week’s Music Announcements

In the past week, many musicians have made announcements regarding dropping new music or announcing upcoming tours. Now that it’s almost the weekend, we hope that the anticipation for these musical releases and tours will be the momentum you need to tie you over until Friday (finally) arrives.

Check out what’s happening in the world of music:

Sky Ferreira
It’s been three years since the singer released her debut full-length studio album. Finally, Sky Ferreira announced in an interview with Dazedthat her follow up album to Night Time, My Time will be released this summer. The album is to be called Masochism. Fans were initially expecting the album to be released last year, but the indie-pop singer had to push back the release due to scheduling conflicts and health issues. According to Dazed, fans could expect the album’s first single to drop online soon!

Little Mix
The British girl-group just announced a European tour that’ll take place all through June, starting on the 12th in Stockholm, Sweeden. These lovely ladies will hit places such as Germany, Italy, Norway, Denmark, and more. I don’t know about you, but we’re ready to hop on a plane and go see Little Mix take on Europe!

No Doubt
These ’90s ska rockers are apparently working on a new side project, minus Gwen Stefani. The three other No Doubt band members are creating a this punk side project with AFI frontman, Davey Havok and have hired Green Day‘s manager, Pat Magnarella to represent them. However, Stefani revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently that she had no idea that her band mates were doing this until she found out via Internet. There’s no word on a set release date for any music, but the project is happening for sure.

Carly Rae Jepsen
Carly Rae Jepsen is re-releasing a remixed version of her 2015 album, EMOTION in Japan. While that may not excite many of you CRJ fans who live outside Japan, her remixed music from this album will probably be available to stream online eventually.

Alabama Shakes

The tour expansion includes two performances in Chicago, a show with Kurt Vile & the Violators, and a run with Dawes. Who’s excited? We are!
