Local Natives Bring The Feels With Cover Of Beyoncé’s ‘All Night’

Local Natives are only a few hours into today’s release of their third studio album Sunlit Youth, a disc filled with impressive new tracks “Past Lives” and “Fountain of Youth,” but they’ve already dropped another gift for fans.

Beyoncé’s Lemonade has ruled the charts and award shows this year, with the LA band just as susceptible as the rest of us to the album’s emotional veracity and haunting guitar licks. Local Natives have now uploaded a cover of the Lemonade track “All Night,” adding their own rock edge to the track about love and forgiveness.

Covering a Beyoncé track is akin to throwing on pointe shoes and trying to replicate Swan Lake, but Local Natives do an admirable job paying homage to Queen Bey. Taking the ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ approach to the emotional track, Local Natives deliver a simple yet stunning cover, with undershot vocals adding to the earnest mood of the song’s lyrics.

We can’t all be Beyoncé, but that doesn’t mean we can’t try. Check out Local Natives’ cover of “All Night” below and get ready to sway.
