Movies, Music Videos And Her Man: A Nicki Minaj Update

Nicki1

Nicki Minaj sure knows how to promote a movie. The hip-hop artist is appearing in her third film (she was previously in Ice Age: Continental Drift and The Other Woman), Barbershop: The Next Cut. The stars of the movie have been hitting the talk show circuit to prepare fans for the upcoming film. But no one can create buzz quite like Nicki.

Let’s start off with what she does as her day job. Nicki featured on Bebe Rexha’s No Broken Hearts back in March and the video just dropped today.

This coincides with Nicki’s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which has since blown up since the show clips hit the Internet. The most popular clip is of the hip-hop artist talking about her relationship with fellow rapper Meek Mill.

In the interview, she explains she may go back to her “old ways” and start telling people she’s single. Minaj says the reason for this is because there’s always someone judging what she does or doesn’t post on social media regarding her relationship. The thing that’s got everyone talking is the fact that Nicki refers to (who we can only assume is) Meek Mill as “this boy who likes me”. She says she would rather keep some things private, but it could also just be because her boyfriend takes more Ls than the 2011-2012 Charlotte Bobcats.

Minaj then appeared to clear the air between her and some of the artists she’s had beef with. In this clip, Ellen and Nicki take to Facebook Live where one fan asks Minaj if she’s ever regretted a feud she’s had with another celebrity.

And of course she says she regrets all of her feuds. Because she’s promoting a movie. And it would be absolutely diabolical to go on Ellen and instead say, “No they all deserved what they got. MILEY, WHAT’S GOOD?”

The whole thing seems a little forced and Ellen even pokes fun at the response, imitating Minaj as though she is Dr. Evil. She did also say during her time on the show that she hopes to act in more movies, so maybe she’s just already working on her new role?

Nicki’s busy day doesn’t end there though, as she is set to perform alongside Ariana Grande tonight in Las Vegas. Grande even teased her fans by saying a new song she’s working on with the hip-hop artist could be a fan favourite. Basically, Nicki Minaj knows how to promote her work like no other.
