Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon And Ilana Glazer Star In The First Trailer For ‘Rough Night’

Movies like The Hangover, Bachelorette and Bridesmaids have proven time and again that the sanctity of marriage pairs perfectly with a weekend and comedy.

The latest film to take on the tradition of pre-wedding parties is the upcoming comedy Rough Night, which features an all-star cast of Avengers’ Scarlett Johansson, SNL’s Kate McKinnon, Broad City’s Ilana Glazer, Little Big Lies’ Zoe Kravitz and Workaholic’s star Jillian Bell. So yeah, we’re RSVP’ing a big YES to this film.

The five hilarious actors star as childhood friends who reunite for Johansson’s bachelorette party in Miami. Honouring tradition and hiring a stripper for the evening seems like a fun idea, until the stripper accidentally ends up dead.

While Johansson and Kravitz are relatively new to feature comedies, the rest of the cast are heavyweight champs in their division. Along with Abbi Jacobson, Glazer created the groundbreaking Broad City and has also starred in The Night Before and the upcoming Emoji Movie. McKinnon has become the breakout star of SNL over the past three seasons thanks to her incredible performances as Justin Bieber, Ellen DeGeneres and, of course, Hillary Clinton. McKinnon also starred in last summer’s blockbuster remake of Ghostbusters. As for Bell, she also starred in The Night Before with Glazer, as well as 22 Jump Street, Fist Fight, and Office Christmas Party along with McKinnon.

Rough Night is the brainchild of Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, who plays Trey on the series. Downs also stars in Rough Night as Johansson’s fiancé, with Aniello behind the camera as the director. The couple also wrote The Time Travelling Bong, which Aniello directed.

Colton Haynes, Ty Burrell and Demi Moore also star in Rough Nights, which hits theatres on June 16.
