When it comes to surprising her fans, Taylor Swift doesn’t take the holidays off. She’s surprised fans at their weddings, their wedding showers, during hospitals stays and more—and, this year, Swift became one lucky fan’s Santa Claus. The superstar traveled to Missouri this week after learning that she had a very big fan there in 96 year-old Cyrus Porter.
During an interview with local radio station KFVS News earlier this year, Porter revealed that he had been to two of Swift’s concerts, saying, “Look what she does…she puts on a show no one else puts on…I just liked the way she did stuff.”
The video quickly went viral and apparently caught the attention of someone in Swift’s camp, with the superstar surprising Porter and his family of 60 during their holiday celebrations this year.
In one video posted by Swift’s father, Taylor can be seen entering the family home with her mother, with her arrival being met with screams and hugs.
According to E! News, Porter lost one of his daughters in 2016, making Swift’s surprise visit a moment of happiness in an otherwise difficult year.
Swift performed “Shake It Off” for the war veteran and his family, who are probably very happy their grandpa got on the local news.
