The 1975 Announce 2017 North American Tour

1975

Get ready for The 1975  to rid us all of our winter blues—The English four-piece are taking their newest music on the road.

The 1975 have announced a 2017 North American concert tour this spring for their most recent album I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it, which was released last November.

The tour will kick off April 9 in Mexico City, continue through the United States and land in three Canadian cities along the way.  The band shared the news of the new tour on their Instagram below.

The alt-rock group’s music combines the dark and youthful themes of sex, love and fear with ethereal alternative tracks that seem to never expire. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2013 and became an instant No. 1 album in the U.K., but also earned the band attention in the United States, where it peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard 200.

The 1975’s sophomore album shifted gears to a more R&B-influenced, contemporary-pop sound, but still remained true to their alternative vibe. The album came in at No. 1 in both the U.K. and the U.S., landing the band two Brit Award nominations, an awards show they’ll also perform at next month.
