The Squamish Valley Music Festival In B.C. Has Been Cancelled

Sad news for festival goers, as it was just announced the Squamish Valley Music Festival in British Columbia has been cancelled for this year.

There was not much of an explanation given, other than this statement posted to the festival’s website:

We have made the extremely difficult decision to not proceed with the 2016 festival, due to take place in August.
This decision was not made lightly and we sincerely apologize to all the people this decision affects: the fans, artists, industry partners, corporate partners, suppliers and all of our supporters within the community of Squamish.

The festival, which typically takes place in August, has also deleted its Facebook and Twitter accounts following the announcement.

Last year the popular three-day festival saw acts like Sam Smith, Drake, and Mumford & Sons.
