The Weeknd And Daft Punk Are Out Of This World In ‘I Feel It Coming’ Video

The Weeknd is continuing to prove why his 2016 album Starboy was one of the biggest albums of the last five years. The Canadian singer has focused on making his third studio album a collaboration of music and visuals, already releasing music videos for “Starboy,” “False Alarm,” “Reminder,” “Party Monster” and his short film “Mania.”

Now The Weeknd has dropped his fifth music video from Starboy with the radio friendly Daft Punk collaboration, “I Feel It Coming.”

Spending most of the video solo, The Weeknd shows off his best Michael Jackson moves as he dances and struts around a seemingly deserted planet. Eventually, The Weeknd comes face to face with a beautiful woman, but a solar eclipse turns the pair to stone. The final few seconds of the video show Daft Punk as the only survivors of the eclipse and the two musicians manage to find a bright purple light in the snow signaling the location of their ‘Starboy.’

The Weeknd switched things up for “I Feel It Coming,” taking a break from collaborating with Grant Singer to work with music video director Warren Fu. No stranger to Daft Punk, Fu has created four of the duo’s videos, including “Get Lucky” and “Lose Yourself To Dance.”

Debuting at number one on the Canadian Billboard chart, The Weeknd’s Starboy managed to achieve the same critical and commercial success as 2015’s Beauty Behind The Madness, with all 18 tracks from Starboy cracking the Hot 100 US singles chart. The Toronto native is up for five JUNO Awards this year, having already won R&B Artist of the Year at the iHeartRadio Awards.

The Weeknd is currently on the European leg of his Starboy Tour and was just announced as the headliner for Osheaga along with Lorde and Muse.
