Troye Sivan And Alessia Cara Are Having The Best Summer In ‘Wild’ Video

Alessia and Troye Wild Video

If summer is about having fun with friends and discovering yourself, then Alessia Cara and Troye Sivan are doing summer right. The Canadian and Aussie singer teamed up to remix Sivan’s track, “Wild,” from his 2015 Wild EP, later appearing on Sivan’s debut album, Blue Neighbourhood. Originally releasing the new track in June, the duo have now dropped a music video for their “Wild” remix.

The video is similar to previous visuals released by both artists, with Sivan and Cara looking natural and relaxed while surrounded by friends, hanging out in backyards and at a bowling alley. The camera shots go back and forth between professional and amateur angles, giving the video an authentic feeling. At least some of the scenes were filmed in Toronto, with the CN Tower clearly visible in the background.

The lovesick pop hit has Cara singing “We’re alike, you and I/ Two blue hearts locked in our wrong minds.” The video closes with Sivan asking Cara if she’s in love, to which she responds with a coy “Maybe.” The screen then changes to a rainbow coloured error screen with the text “KEEP ON KISSING” appearing.

Sivan and Cara first released the new version of “Wild” in June, with Cara not only helping out on vocals, but also adding some of her own lyrics to the track. The two young singers have been longtime admirers of each other’s work, with Sivan covering Cara’s track, “Here,” and Cara taking on Sivan’s single, “Youth.” The new video is directed by Malia James, who has worked with Halsey, Hailee Steinfeld and Troye Sivan, directing his party-friendly video for “Youth.”
