Adele has left us in tears all weekend thanks to her new album 25, so it’s only fair that she’s helping us laugh as well. The singer is known for her raunchy sense of humour (we’ll hit the pubs with you anytime, Adele) and now she’s combining her comedic timing with her acting skills.
Teaming up with English TV host Graham Norton, Adele wore a prosthetic nose and chin to disguise herself as…herself.
Playing ‘Jenny’, a soft-spoken nanny by day and Adele impersonator by night, Norton’s team gathered a group of Adele impersonators in London to show off their pipes performing Adele’s Feel My Love. Standing backstage, they all met ‘Jenny’, who was so nervous to perform on stage she had to go last, but not before taking a dig at Adele, who ‘took her time’ with the new album.
When the real Adele eventually does stand up in front of the mic, one of the impersonators immediately picks up on the gag. Eventually, the rest of the Adeles realize they’re watching the real deal and naturally the tears begin to flow.
Don’t miss Adele Live In London on Wednesday, November 25 at 8E/5P on CTV and CTV GO.
