Who Should Host The Golden Globes Next Year?

Now that comedy queens Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have wrapped up their final year as the hosts of the Golden Globes, we are left wondering who the show will call upon to take over in 2016. And while you might be bummed that Liz Lemon and Leslie Knope will no longer be fixtures on your TV screen, last night’s big show did prove that have some very strong contenders for the position next year.

Take a look below to see eight best contenders to be the host of next year’s Golden Globes and then jump below to vote for your fave! Who do you think should host the Golden Globes next year?

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt
One of Hollywood’s funniest couples, Anna Faris and Chris Pratt would be perfect duo to take over for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. They both star in funny Golden Globe-approved shows, Pratt’s star power is out of this world right now (literally, like into the Galaxy if you know what I mean) and we would totally be okay watching these two fake-bicker at each other all night.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin
Are you a fan of Fey and Poehler? Then you’d LOVE Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, two fierce women who know how to be snarky and classy. When the two went up to present the award for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical, they were quick to turn the tables on the guys on that age-old eye roll of a debate about women not being funny. TAKE THAT, PATRIARCHY. MORE, PLEASE!

Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader
The next of kin when it comes to hilarious Saturday Night Live alumni, Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader should be a shoe-in for next year’s Golden Globes. Every time Wiig has hit the stage at these award show things, she absolutely kills it. I mean, remember last year when she presented an award with Will Ferrell? Of course you do! What makes this combination of Wiig and Hader utterly perfect is their undeniably chemistry from years of performing together, much like the reason why we love Fey and Poehler. Last night, the two were a definite highlight of the evening when they went onstage to present the award for Best Screenplay. The two went through some of the most classic movie lines of all time and even though they totally paraphrased (i.e. hilariously butchered) these lines, we couldn’t stop laughing the entire time. They’re clearly just experts when it comes to film and television:

Meryl Streep
Everyone worships Meryl. Heck, more than one winner thanked her in their acceptance speech last night (and trust us, there are plenty more in acceptance speech history). Streep is not only the epitome of Hollywood elegance and talent, but she is also totally down for a good joke, posing with a North Korean army general (played by Margaret Cho) last night. Can you just imagine the sheer amazingness of Meryl Streep being the star of an entire evening? She’d deserve an award for that!

Prince
Because people would just consistently lose their shit throughout the night.
