Your First Look At ‘Adele Live In London’

Adele Live In London Sneak Peek Main

Adele Live In London is coming to CTV and CTV GO on Wednesday, November 25 at 8E/5P, but today we’re getting a sneak peek at the history-making television event. The new special will feature Adele performing some of her biggest songs, including tracks from her highly anticipated third studio album 25. The new special is also rumoured to include a performance of Adele singing her James Bond theme Skyfall for the first time since the 2013 Oscars, the same night she took home the award for Best Original Song.

In this sneak peek of Adele Live In London, the British singer makes her international debut performance of Hello, a song that has broken Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video record for single-day views and the first song in 15 years to sell over 1 million copies in seven days. So much for the theory that people don’t buy music or watch music videos, right Adele?

Wearing a green long sleeve dress with gold glitter applique, Adele belts out her first single from 25 while backed by a full band. The performance answers the question of whether a four year time lapse between albums, which included vocal surgery and the delivery of his first son, has affected Adele’s voice. Dare we say it’s even better than we remember?

The special presentation will also include an interview with Adele and British talk show host Graham Norton, who spoke with the singer about the possibility of ending her career after the success of her first two albums. “It was that thing of, ‘do I or don’t I want to go back to my music’? Obviously, I do,” says Adele. “I just wanted to make sure that everything was in place for me to do it so I could do it properly.”

In today’s look at Adele Live In London, Norton plays a game of ‘Rumour Has It’ with Adele, giving the 27 year-old the chance to clear up gossip about herself. Thanks to one fan’s question, we now know that while Adele does write her own tweets, a history of mixing alcohol and 140 characters means the singer has put into place three levels of managements to go through before hitting ‘Tweet’.

Oh Adele, we’ve missed you.

Adele’s third studio album 25, which includes the hit song Hello, is set to be released on November 20.
