These two mega stars love teasing their fans with public appearances and consistent song collaborations. Though Drake and Rihanna are spotted in some questionable situations now and again, the two remain adamant on the fact that they are “just friends.” Well “just friends” Rihanna and Drake, it’s about time someone called you out for tugging on our heartstrings. Check out the 10 times this clearly confused duo decided to give us a major case of the #Aubrih feels:
Views’ “Too Good” was hardly the beginning of this musical relationship. The first track on his debut studio album Thank Me Later, “Fireworks,” is presumed to be about Rihanna, the Bajan princess herself. Before the album’s release, Drake and Rihanna were spotted cozied up together at the Lucky Strike bowling alley in New York.
In the second verse of “Fireworks,” Drake refers to that exact night, rapping:
Rihanna’s 2010 release of the song, “What’s My Name” only added fuel to the Rihanna and Drake fire. Drake plays Rihanna’s love interest in the video, and since the songs release, “What’s My Name” has been a main GIF and meme source for the many loyal Drake and Rihanna supporters.
Drake and Rihanna performed “What’s My Name’ at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards in 2011. The chemistry between the pair was undeniable and the two had no problem showing off their “acting” skills to the world.
In 2012, Drake released a music video for the title track off his second studio album Take Care. Naturally, the song features Rihanna’s vocals in its chorus. Drake and Rihanna’s on-screen love continues in the minimalist, grey-styled video as the two artists are seen consoling each other in a variety of close-ups.
In 2014, Drake released “Days In The East” which sampled Rhianna’s hit song, “Stay.” Some of the verses in Drake’s song (particularly the one below) have been rumoured to be about Rihanna.
At this year’s Brit Awards Rihanna performed two hits off of her latest album, Anti. After performing “Consideration,” Rihanna surprised the crowd with an appearance from Drake, who is featured on her hit song, “Work.” Though the official video for “Work” is everything that we could ever ask for, this live performance of the song seemed like it was an authentic, unplanned, and intimate moment between Rihanna and Drake.

When Drake showed up at Rihanna’s Toronto concert last month, he took a moment to rave about her to her fans. The Toronto rapper called the Anti singer the “greatest woman [he’s] ever known.”
…And Drake does it A LOT.
Watching Drake’s eyes light up at the mention of Rihanna’s name was enough to make us swoon during Ellen’s latest interview with Drake. When asked about the pair being “just friends,” a photograph of Drake and Rihanna dancing together on the Brit Awards stage appeared on the Ellen screen. Drake couldn’t contain his laughter, and we couldn’t stop smiling. Get married already!
