The Super Bowl is a very important television event and not just because of the sports. The high-budget commercials have become one of the biggest draws as well as the epic movie trailers that debut during the breaks. If you didn’t tune in last night, or if you didn’t have access to the same commercials that aired in the U.S., you might have missed out on some very important first-looks at movies coming soon.
Take a look below at the top 11 trailers that aired during last night’s Super Bowl!
This was arguably one of the biggest trailers from last night’s Super Bowl show. What starts off like a scary, new version of Jaws goes on to unveil the magical land of Jurassic World that goes awry thanks to the introduction of a new dinosaur. The epic trailer stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and a whole lot of motherf–king dinosaurs. It is Badass, with a capital B.
Fast & Furious 7
We’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, but this action-packed new look gives us even more car stunts, guns and explosions. I mean, there is literally a scene where a car drives from one building into another. It’s no dinosaur, but we simply can’t get enough of these car stunts!
The plot of Disney’s Tomorrowland has long been kept under wraps, but this Super Bowl spot has finally given audiences a little more insight into the upcoming sci-fi film. The teaser shows us George Clooney, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie as they enter a futuristic place where you can apparently “build whatever you’re crazy enough to imagine.”
Pitch Perfect 2
A group of guys singing Bootylicious + all of the Rebel Wilson = one solid Pitch Perfect 2 trailer.
Fifty Shades of Grey
At this point, you’re either totally tired of seeing Fifty Shades of Grey clips or you are dying with anticipation to see this sexy new film. Is it possible to be somewhere between the two?
Avengers: Age of Ultron
All of your favourite superheroes are back to fight one heck of a robot.
If you’ve seen Divergent, you might get excited at this new Insurgent trailer. If you’ve never seen Divergent, or have never even heard of the series, then… you’re probably a little confused.
Ted is back and he’s trying to have a baby! How? By stealing Tom Brady’s sperm. Just try and guess how that works out.
Three words: I’ll be back.
Okay, we highly doubt this Super Bowl TV spot has anything to do with the actual movie, but it’s still cute as hell.
Fans of the original Heroes TV series on NBC got their very first sneak peek at the upcoming miniseries, Heroes Reborn. In the short 15-second teaser, we see the return of Noah Bennet (played by Jack Coleman) alongside newcomer Zachary Levi who appears to be spying on him. The clip doesn’t reveal much else, other than a young girl with a special ability related to auroras, but either way, we think now would be the ideal time to refresh your memory on the first four seasons of the show.
