The Nominations Are In For The 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs!

The nominations for the 2018 iHeartRadio MMVAs have been announced and Canadian artists are leading the pack for this years nominees. Performing at this year’s show is four-time iHeartRadio MMVAs winner Shawn Mendes, who is looking to add to his collection of statues this year thanks to his incredible eight nominations, including Best Pop Artist or Group, Artist of the Year, and Video of the Year for “In My Blood.”

Fellow Toronto native and 16-time winner Drake is up for seven awards this year, including Director of the Year and Video of the Year for his charitable video “God’s Plan,” which features the rapper giving away close to one million dollars to deserving recipients in Miami.

Not far behind is last year’s co-host Alessia Cara, who is not only performing at this year’s show, but is also nominated for five awards.

With six Fan Fave categories, including Fan Fave Artist, Fan Fave Duo or Group, Fan Fave Video, Fan Fave Single, Fan Fave New Artist, and Fan Fave Creator, fans will have plenty of opportunities to cast their vote for their favourite artists and songs. Voting is now open and fans can cast their votes once per hour on the iHeartRadio MMVAs site, as well as using the appropriate hashtags on Twitter.
