21 Women In Music Currently Fangirling Over Each Other

It’s undeniably been a tough year for people around the world and we still have four months left in 2017. If we’re going to make it to New Year’s Eve, we need some doses of positivity mixed in with action.

One thing we can be thankful for in 2017 is lots of new and incredible music. In an act that warms our hearts, some of the biggest names in pop are back with new albums to release alongside exciting new artists. Even better, they all love one another.

Check out artists that are fan-girling over each other in 2017.

CHARLI XCX AND MILEY CYRUS

When Miley Cyrus returned to the charts this summer with her single for “Younger,” she found an instant fan in fellow performer and writer Charli XCX.

SZA AND ALESSIA CARA

There is a lot of mutual love between SZA and Alessia Cara. The young artists have both professed their love for one another on social media, with Cara even going a step further and recently covering SZA’s “Drew Barrymore.” There are four months left in 2017 for SZA and Cara to release an official collaboration before the end of the year.

DEMI LOVATO AND KESHA

We’ll forgive Demi Lovato for being a little bit late to the ‘Kesha Comeback Tour 2017.’ As she’s proven many times, Lovato knows a thing or two about mastering impressive high notes, which makes her the perfect person to recognize the brilliance of Kehsa’s incredible vocal performance on “Praying.”

DEMI LOVATO AND SELENA GOMEZ

Demi Lovato’s huge 2017 single “Sorry Not Sorry” may be all about waving goodbye to her haters, but the singer has nothing but love for her fellow female musicians on social media. In July, Lovato congratulated her former Barney costar Selena Gomez on her new single “Fetish.” The pair may not be back to being besties, but were still pretty excited that they are friends once again.

MEGHAN TRAINOR AND JESSIE REYEZ

One person who definitely tuned into Jesse Reyez’s August debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was fellow singer Meghan Trainor. After Reyez shared a picture of herself next to the Tonight Show logo, Trainor went full-emoji on her Twitter account, sharing her excitement over the performance. We totally praying hands feel you, Meghan.

MICHELLE BRANCH AND TEGAN AND SARA

Being fans of one another’s music is pretty cool, but for Michelle Branch and Tegan and Sara, supporting LGBTQ rights is even cooler. These are what rock stars look like.

JULIA MICHAELS AND PINK

Millions of fans around the world were ecstatic when singer Pink announced she would be releasing a new album in October. One of those fans was singer-songwriter Julia Michaels.

KELLY CLARKSON AND LEA MICHELE

Lea Michele knows exactly how difficult it is to sing a Kelly Clarkson song. During her time on Glee, Michele and co. covered five Clarkson tracks, with Michele even performing a solo of Clarkson’s track “Cry.” So, when the TV and theatre star gives credit, she knows exactly where it’s due.

LORDE AND TOVE LO

At this year’s MTV VMAs, Lorde proved that she can still put on a great show even without her voice, but it’s still more fun to be on stage with friends. During her August performance at Osheaga in Montréal, Lorde was joined on stage by her ‘sister’ Tove Lo for a high energy performance.

CARLY RAE JEPSEN AND MAGGIE ROGERS

Newcomer Maggie Rogers knows that when the sun comes out, so do the hits from Carly Rae Jepsen. Cue Jepsen’s huge summer hit “Cut to the Feeling” and grab some sunscreen.

HALSEY AND FIFTH HARMONY

Halsey and Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui worked together on Halsey’s 2017 album Hopefully Fountain Kingdom and it looks like the solo singer is also a Harmonizer. Halsey has been stanning for 5H on Twitter, with the singer welcoming the girl group’s new era with open arms.
