5 Best Performances From The Billboard Music Awards

Nicki Minaj Main

The 2015 Billboard Music Awards went down in Las Vegas last night and featured performances from Hozier, Meghan Trainor and John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Kanye West, Imagine Dragons and many more.

With a jam-packed night of hot performances, we decided to narrow the impressive playing field and give you the Top 5.

5. Pretty Girls, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea

Is this song getting better with each listen? No. Have we started liking the video? Still no. BUT! We do like that Britney Spears is looking happy and healthy again and for that we give this performance the number five spot.

4. Nobody Love, Tori Kelly

A lot of the hype surrounding last night’s Billboard Music Awards centered on Taylor Swift’s new Bad Blood music video, but it looks like there’s a new blond with a guitar in town. Tori Kelly is Scooter Braun’s latest artist and we can’t get enough of her soulful voice.

3. Hey Mama, Nicki Minaj and David Guetta

Nicki Minaj gave two standout back-to-back performances on Sunday night, first with her single The Night Is Young and then with David Guetta while they performed Hey Mama. Is this the first time someone has dutty wined in a tutu?

2. Bloodstream, Ed Sheeran

This year’s MMVA co-host and performer Ed Sheeran proved that he’s up to the task of giving a breathtaking award show performance. Acting as a one man band on stage, Ed layered his vocals, guitar and guitar-drumming to create a performance worthy of goosebumps.

1. Jealous, Nick Jonas

This may be our favourite Nick Jonas performance ever, which means the young Jo Bro has set the MMVA bar very high for himself. Guitar solos, silver jackets, 80s lazers, and vocals that can’t be beat. Nick Jonas knows how to make us Jealous of everyone who got to see him live in Vegas last night.
