8 Things Selena Gomez Talked To Rolling Stone About That Are More Interesting Than Justin Bieber

Selena Rolling Stone

There are some relationships the public may never get over. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Rory and Jess (we didn’t say they were all *real* relationships).

The young love affair of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber is definitely one for the memory books, with many fans (guilty) still holding out for a Jelena reunion. It may happen. It may not. But in the end, no one should have to talk about their ex that much. It’s just getting weird.

Gomez put her foot down recently in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine and said she was happy the interviewer brought up her ex, giving her the opportunity to publically say she was done talking about him. “And honestly,” said Gomez, “what I would love to be printed is that I am so beyond done with talking about that, and him.”

We love the Biebs. We can talk about him all day. But having a career and a life and consistently being asked about your ex has got to be getting pretty old for Gomez. Instead, let’s focus on all the other cool things she shared in the new interview.

1. Sick Selena Sounds Like Healthy Selena

“Sorry, I keep coughing,” says Selena Gomez. “I’m getting sick.” She has a cold, but truthfully, it doesn’t make her voice sound much different

2. Her First Concert Was Britney Spears In Dallas, Texas

She was 11, her family sat in the nosebleeds, and it was awesome.

3. Part of Revival Was Made In Mexico

Puerto Vallarta, to be exact.

4. She Remembers She Was On Barney

Started from the dinosaur, now we here. “My dad was a DJ, my mom was obsessed with every type of music possible, and I was on Barney for two seasons, singing with a purple dinosaur.”

5. She’s Giving Us 2016 #HeadSpaceGoals

“People have seen most of the choices that I’ve made in my life. And I love every choice that I’ve made. Because now I understand how to apply that to my music. This is who I am. I’m glad my life was never perfect.”

6. She’s Giving Us 2016 #HeadSpaceGoals Part 2

“If I go and have a great time, I live my life and nothing is going to dictate how I feel unless I let it.”

7. She’s Relateable

On not filming with The Big Short’s male leads, including Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Christian Bale: “To be honest, I was glad I didn’t have to do a scene with them. I would have been bright red and sweating the entire time.”

8. Super Relateable

On performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: “… man, it makes you want to work out and not eat anything. I did feel really short, but it was really fun.”
