The Vengaboys are coming! But they’re not alone. Bringing the late ’90s to 2019 is the newly announced ’90s Nostalgia concert, which will feature performances by Aqua, The Vengaboys, S Club (formerly S Club 7), Prozzak and Right Said Fred. The neon-packed musical event will go down June 22 at Interchange Park in Vaughn, Ontario for one night of time-machine musical goodness. The only thing more ’90s would be if the event was hosted by former Much VJ Rick ‘The Temp’ Campanelli and Tony Monaco. Oh wait, it is. So fly.
Promising a night of non-stop hits, because OMG these bands had huge hits, the upcoming Nostalgia ’90s concert will feature the quintessential dance artists of the decade. Ain’t no party like a S Club party because a S Club party literally lasts decades and survives a fictional TV band going from seven members to three.
Canadian duo Prozzäk and Danish trio Aqua had success last summer with their six-date Canadian tour and are now back for another huge concert, this time bringing with them the English duo Right Said Fred and Dutch foursome The Vengaboys. Two decades later and we still like to party.
We also still think this song is just as hilarious as we did when it first hit the radio. They said they’re too sexy for their shirts! Was anything in Grade 5 ever more scandalous than this line? We think not.
Dust off your Dance Mix CDs, years 1991 – 2001, and get ready to travel through time this summer. Fingers crossed this one-night event turns into a cross-Canada tour.
