A Great Big World had one of the biggest songs of 2013 with their break out single Say Something and are now back with a new album and new material to make us cry…or not.
The duo of Ian Axel and Chad King sat down with Gaby Henderson to talk about their upcoming sophomore record, which they promise will be less ugly-cry inducing than their best known single.
The band has already released their first single from the album, bringing the warm fuzzies with Hold Each Other. In the interview below, Axel and King explain how the song’s collaboration with rapper Futuristic came about, saying that they were fans of his Say Something cover posted on YouTube.
The twosome also talk about the inspiration from their songs, including their own marriage proposals and struggles with Multiple Sclerosis.
The topic of conversation also took on everyone’s favourite bad gal Rihanna, who Chad and Ian met this past year. So, what do two musicians talk about when meeting Rih Rih? In a word, poop.
