Adam Lambert’s 2015 album, The Original High, failed to reach the same chart position as his previous offerings, but it wasn’t from lack of substance. The former American Idol alum packed a huge punch with the singles “Another Lonely Night” and “Ghost Town,” with the latter receiving the remix treatment from EDM producers Tritonal.
The collaboration on “Ghost Town” was thankfully just the start, with the American duo scoring Lambert for their new single, “Broken.” With joint production from Jenaux, the electro-pop track builds, with a strong clash of house music and dance hall that few artists are strong enough to contend with. But if any singer can compete with muscle in music, it’s Lambert.
Like Lorde and Sam Smith with Disclosure, Lambert’s work with Tritonal could be a partnership that results in one of the biggest songs of 2016.
“Broken” is set to appear on Tritonal’s upcoming disc, Painting With Dreams, set to be released this fall.
Showcasing his incredible versatility, “Broken” arrives in between Lambert’s gig touring with Queen and his upcoming starring role in the remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Lambert will also be joining the next season of The X Factor Australia as a judge. We assume it’s more fun to be on *that* side of the table.
