Angel Olsen released one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2016 with her sophomore offering My Woman and is still getting traction out of the emotional and honest album.
As she did with her three singles from My Woman, Olsen co-directs and stars in her new video for “Pops,” taking viewers on a relaxing walk and drive through dark city streets, the foggy wilderness and brooding around an empty house.
Olsen recently took a break from promoting My Woman to contribute the track “Fly On Your Wall” to the online compilation album Our First 100 Days. Featuring artists like Ty Segall, Joey Purp, Mitski, Toro Y Moi and more, a new song will be made available every day during the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s presidency. Olsen’s “Fly On Your Wall” kicked off the project, which is available with a minimum donation of $30.
Olsen has been consistently releasing outstanding indie tracks both as a solo artist and with Bonnie Prince Billy since 2009. In 2014, she began gaining traction outside of her indie circle with her breathtaking solo debut album, Burn Your Fire For No Witness. With the release of My Woman, Olsen gained a new set of fans thanks to the lead singles “Intern,” “Shut Up Kiss Me” and “Sister.”
