Ariana Grande And John Legend Will Perform The Title Track For ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Soundtrack

John Legend and Ariana Grande, two of pop music’s most soulful artists, are teaming up for a romantic Disney duet—the title track for the forthcoming Beauty and the Beast soundtrack.

Ron Fair, who will produce the song, described this  new version as, “bringing the song back with a new school/old school fresh treatment that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire.”

The track was originally written by Howard Ashman and Alan Meken for the 1991 animated film. Performed by Angela Lansbury in the film, it went on to win numerous awards including an Oscar for Best Original Song. Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson gave the track a pop makeover for the soundtrack, making it the film’s only single, and helping it reach the Billboard Top 10.

John Legend and Ariana Grande’s updated version will be featured on both the soundtrack and in the film.

Starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast, Beauty and the Beast will hit theatres March 17, 2017.
