Looking back at everything February had to offer has us feeling a bit nostalgic. Thankfully a new vlog-style recap video from Arkells is allowing us to relive the magic of the PyeongChang Olympics.
It all started with a simple tweet—the Hamilton band’s 2016 hit “Knocking At The Door” had become the unofficial anthem of Team Canada and Twitter videos showed the track being played during a Team Canada celebration. Frontman Max Kerman responded, writing that they needed to play the song live for the Olympians, tagging Air Canada. A few days later, the five-piece was on a 16-hour flight to the Olympics. Sometimes the Internet is crazy.
I think we can make that happen. 🇨🇦✈️🇰🇷🎶 What do you think? Bonne idée?!! @TeamCanada

The video chronicles the band’s journey to South Korea, with footage from stadiums to Canada House to the packed show they played for our Olympians. You’ll see the women’s hockey team stirring a riveting and super patriotic cheer and get glimpses of the country’s ice dancing sweethearts and national treasures Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.
Check out how it all went down in the video below. Warning: This video may induce a burning sense of Canuck pride. It’ll also leave you hungry for poutine…and victory.
