If you’re like us and still hoping for a High School Musical 4, a new YouTube video may be the closest we get to seeing the gang from East High School back together. Think of it as a ten year high school reunion that only two students attended.
High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has continued to branch out from acting since saying goodbye to Sharpay Evans. Tisdale has launched her own make up line and her own YouTube channel, posting make up tutorials, song covers, recipes, and more. The multi-talented entertainer recently invited her on-screen and real life bestie Vanessa Hudgens, who played Gabriella Montez in the film franchise, to appear on her YouTube channel.
After soliciting suggestions for a duet partner from her YouTube subscribers, Tisdale invited Hudgens to perform Elle King’s “Exes and Ohs,” making it their first duet on screen. That’s right, Sharpay and Gabriella didn’t get a single duet together in three movies, and based off this one, we think we really need a High School Musical 4.
The arrangement and guitar playing was courtesy of Tisdale’s husband and musician Chris French, who, for the purpose of this video, we’re going to call Troy Bolton.
Since wrapping High School Musical, Hudgens has also stayed busy, starring in Spring Breakers, Beastly and Gimme Shelter. Hudgens hasn’t left music behind, starring as Rizzo in Grease: Live and the title role of Gigi on Broadway.
