Get ready to live out your angsty, emo princess fantasy through Avril Lavigne’s latest video, “I Fell In Love With The Devil.”

For the past couple of weeks, our beloved Canadian punk rock chanteuse teased us across her socials with stills and text images that made us all believe something was coming our way. This morning, we were finally graced with a darkly beautiful music video that will make you want to check out your local graveyard for an impromptu jam sesh. If only pianos were readily available between tombstones so that we could turn this dream into a reality…

This video channels every emo trope you can think of. From driving a vintage hearse to traipsing through an eerie forest in a cloak with an ornate cross in tow, Lavigne gives us everything we could possibly want for a song about loving someone who’s as hellish and torturous as the devil.

“I Fell In Love With The Devil” marks the third video from Lavigne’s latest album, Head Above Water, following “Tell Me It’s Over” and the record’s title track. It’s another reason to get excited for Lavigne’s highly anticipated North American tour, which kicks off on September 14 and stops in Toronto on October 6.
