Bebe Rexha just confessed her love of Kanye West, proving that stars are, in fact, just like us.
The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Rexha on Tuesday when she stopped by the YouTube Space in London to promote and participate in MTV’s Cover of the Month competition.
Rexha told THR that she’s interested in collaborating with Kanye on a future project, explaining that she respects “the fact that he is able to change his sound and be innovative. He is not scared. Whether you consider [a song] a hit or a flop or whatever, he still goes all the way, and I think that’s what true artists should do.”
Rexha also talked about her upcoming album All Your Fault, which arrives February 17 and then again in April in two separate installments. The concept might sound a little strange, but Rexha’s explanation for the two-part release actually makes a lot of sense.
“Music changes so fast, and we’re in a singles market. I want to release six songs, let people listen to those, let them chill for a second, do a tour, release another six songs, chill for a second and then take my favourite four, put them on the album and add some more.”
In fact, Rexha’s not the only one who’s dropping a full album piece-by-piece this year—John Mayer released the first installment of his multi-part album The Search for Everything just last month.
Rexha also shared the cover art and track list for All Your Fault: Part One on Twitter. She’ll be heading on tour come March, which will no doubt excite hardcore Rexhars everywhere.
