Beyoncé, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar are this year’s headliners for Coachella. Just announced today, the three musical heavyweights will perform both weekends, with Radiohead playing Friday April 14 and 21, Beyoncé headlining Saturdays shows on April 15 and 22, while Kendrick Lamar closes Coachella with Sunday sets on April 16 and 23.
This year marks Beyoncé’s first time playing the California festival, while previous years have included appearances from the Queen during husband Jay Z and sister Solange’s sets. Both Radiohead and Lamar have previously played Coachella. This year’s festival also includes performances from Lorde, Bon Iver, The xx, Travis Scott, Future, Justice, DJ Khaled and many more.
Today’s Coachella announcement features some of the most exciting musicians coming out of Canada right now. Singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco and electronic music duo Crystal Castles will play during Friday’s shows.
Hip hop performer Tory Lanez, OVO artists Majid Jordan, and rockers Arkells will all take the stage during Saturday’s shows.
Kaytranada, who took home the Polaris Music Prize in 2016 for his album 99.9% will help close out the star-studded weekend with performances on both Sundays of Coachella.
