Little Mix have already namedropped BLACKPINK as one of their most desired collaborators, but who’s at the top of K-pop superstars’ wish list?
The K-pop foursome sat down with Apple Music’s Brooke Reese and revealed their dream features, citing Billie Eilish, Tyga, and Halsey as some of the artists they want to work with the most.
“I covered Halsey’s song once at a concert in Japan. She’s commented on a few of my Instagram posts,” said Jennie. “Maybe one day we could get together and that would be a dream come true. Because I love her voice and she seems like the sweetest person ever.”
Lisa said she would want to work with Tyga for the “swag” and “hip hop vibe” while Jisoo chose Eilish because she loves her album.
The K-pop-crossover seems to be the hottest trend in music right now—within the past week, BTS revealed a teaser for an upcoming single which features Halsey, and girl group Red Velvet lent their vocals to a remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Close to Me.”
BLACKPINK’s last collab was with superstar diva Dua Lipa on “Kiss and Make Up,” which appeared on the deluxe version of her debut studio album. BLACKPINK told Reese that Dua reached out to the group after meeting them at one of her concerts.
“When we met, she kind of already knew about us, and she was happy to see us, when we were already big fans of her,” Jennie recounted. “After that, in a few months, she reached out saying how about we should make music together. It was just amazing how it all happened. We were very grateful for it.”
BLACKPINK are currently on a world tour, making their Coachella debut this weekend before their lone Canadian stop in Hamilton, Ontario on April 27.
