Bruno Mars Throws A Party For One In ‘That’s What I Like’ Video

Bruno Mars has been promising fans “something awesome” all week and as usual, the superstar has delivered. Dropping late last night, Mars unveiled his joyful new video for “That’s What I Like,” the third single from 2016’s 24K Magic.

Mars co-directed with Jonathan Lia and cast himself in the solo video, which features Mars doing what he does best—performing.

The video is comprised of a sped up Mars showing off his trademark dance skills, with line drawings accentuating his movements and the song’s lyrics. The simplicity of the video concept allows Mars’ showmanship to shine, likely inspiring his millions of fans to throw their own dance party, solo or otherwise.

In a new cover story with the Wall Street Journal that dropped yesterday, Mars said, “We’re just cavemen, hitting on rocks. It’s no different—you’re a caveman and you got a rock in front of you, you hit it with a stick to get everybody dancing. This is our time to forget about everything, it’s joy time.” Mars’ new single and music video for “That’s What I Like” definitely pack an impressive joy quotient.

One week before the release of his album 24K Magic in November, Mars announced his 24K Magic World Tour taking place this year. Mars’ upcoming tour will kick off on March 28 in Belgium and conclude in Los Angeles on November 11. The 85-date tour across Europe and North America features seven Canadian dates, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto.

Watch Bruno Mars perform along with Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and more at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards, airing Sunday, March 5 at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Two.
