Attention ARMYs, comeback season has officially kicked off.
Ahead of their highly anticipated return, K-pop superstars BTS have just dropped a new teaser for their fourth studio album, Map of the Soul: Persona.
Leader RM takes the reins on the upbeat rap track, with the lyrics following the themes of self-reflection present in the band’s previous releases.
“‘Who am I?’ the question I had my whole life / The question which I probably won’t find an answer to my whole life,” he muses.
Fans have speculated that the Map of the Soul trilogy will centre on psychologist Carl Jung’s model of the psyche, which is made up of the persona, ego, and shadow. To no one’s surprise, all three words appear in the background of the teaser.
Map of the Soul: Persona comes eight months after their last release, Love Yourself: Answer, the third of their three-part Love Yourself album series. Album art, concepts, and a tracklist have yet to be shared, but the new record is due out on April 12, with the band slated to make its Saturday Night Live debut on April 13.
