Almost a year after leaving Fifth Harmony, Camila Cabello has finally announced the release date of her self-titled debut album, and it looks like Camilizers everywhere will start their New Year off with new music on January 12, 2018.
Taking to Instagram earlier today to announce the news, Cabello explained the new title of her album, which was originally going to be titled The Healing, The Hurting, The Loving.
“I decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended. it started with somebody else’s story, it ended with me finding my way back to myself.”

Earlier this year, Cabello dropped her debut singles “Crying In The Club” and “I Have Questions” and performed the tracks at the 2017 iHeartRadio MMVAs. “Crying in the Club” achieved moderate chart success, peaking at #47 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Cabello achieved massive success just last month when “Havana,” the lead single to her self-titled album, hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. She credited Toronto producer Frank Dukes for “taking a classic part of Latin culture and combining it with something new and modern.”
The song was accompanied by a sultry, telenovela style music video and a Spanish-language version featuring Daddy Yankee.
Fans won’t have to wait too long until they hear some new music, as Cabello also announced that she’ll drop two tracks titled “Never Be The Same” and “Real Friends” when the album is available for preorder on Thursday.
Camila drops on January 12.
