If you want to hear new music from the popstar Camila Cabello, we suggest getting a ticket to see her in concert. The former Fifth Harmony member is currently on tour with Bruno Mars as the opening act for his 24K Magic World Tour and is ready to share her music with the world.
Cabello has yet to announce the official release date for her debut solo album The Hurting the Healing the Loving, but that hasn’t stopped the Miami native from performing new songs in concert. Just last week, Cabello debuted her new track “Inside Out” on stage (watch here).
Touring with Mars is a nightly education for Cabello, who sat down with our etalk cameras ahead of her Vancouver show to discuss how taking a master class from Mars on stage has helped change her own approach to performing. Cabello says that seeing Mars on stage has taught her to constantly work towards creating the best set list and show for her fans, with new songs being added throughout the tour.
“It’s amazing because every night is different,” says Cabello. “Every night the energy is so different and we’re all just trying to work on making the set better.”
While touring is nothing new to Cabello, touring as a solo artist is still somewhat foreign. Following her days in the successful girl group, Cabello has struck out on her own, a move that comes with its own highs and lows.
“It’s challenging because everything falls on me. Every decision I make, it’s not like, oh, that was the group’s thing or that represents the group,” says Cabello. “It’s like, no, this is who I am and everything down to the songs and the typography on the cover art, everything reflects me. So it’s definitely at lot of decisions and more pressure, but it’s also more fulfilling because I get to see this world that I have in my head be brought to life and I get to share that with other people.”
Cabello kicked off her summer in Canada performing at the iHeartRadio MMVAs in June (watch here) and has now returned for the 24K Magic World Tour. “Every time I’ve been to Canada before the energy is just massive,” says Cabello. “It’s a lot of love. A lot of my closest friends are Canadian.”
For fans eager for new music from Cabello who aren’t able to get a concert ticket, it looks like the singer is ready to release two more singles. Posting on her Instagram page today, Cabello shared a picture of the front of a marquee showing two new song titles, including “Havana” and “OMG” featuring Young Thug and Quavo, who Cabello previously worked with on Major Lazer’s “Know No Better.”
