Cardi B Announces Debut Album ‘Invasion of Privacy’

Cardi B, Invasion of Privacy

In 2017, the music world was taken over by rapper Cardi B. The New York native ruled the charts and smashed records with her breakthrough single “Bodak Yellow,” becoming the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill’s 1998 track “Doo Wop (That Thing)” to debut at No. 1.

Showing no signs of slowing down, Cardi went on to drop “Bartier Cardi” and team up with Bruno Mars for a remix of his 2018 single “Finesse.” During the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Cardi B opened the award show with a high energy performance of her singles, later returning to the stage to accept the award for Best New Artist. During her acceptance speech, Cardi B thanked her haters and promised her fans that her debut album would be dropping in April. Cardi B is a boss, so she’s sticking to her word.

Posting on her social media account Monday night, Cardi B announced her debut album Invasion of Privacy, which will be dropping next week on April 6. The rapper, who is currently pregnant with her first child (and still performing at Coachella next month—BOSS), appears on the cover in a black and white checkered suit, wearing a short blond wig.

Naturally, social media is shook at the exciting announcement.
