Celebs Continue To Show Their Support For Orlando Victims

The world was subject to a tragedy unlike any other this past Sunday when 49 people inside a LGBTQ-friendly dance club were gunned down in Orlando, Florida. Authorities are calling the shooting “the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation’s worst terror attack since 9/11.”

People from all over the world have been coming together in solidarity to show their support for the victims and their families by using the hashtag #LoveIsLove. From vigils turned epic vogue battles to moving Tony speeches, the lives of the victims are being celebrated around the world.

Lady Gaga

Los Angeles held a vigil for victims of the the Orlando shooting on Sunday. A longtime supporter of the LGBTQ community, Lady Gaga broke down during her powerful speech delivered in tribute to all those affected by the shooting.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Sonnet At The Tony Awards

In a raw and touching acceptance speech, the Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda read an original sonnet about love and equality that brought the audience to tears.

Kid Cudi

The Rapper took to Twitter last night to express not only his sympathy for the families affected by the Orlando tragedy, but also went out of his way to address the hip-hop community’s need to put prejudice aside and accept that love is love.

London’s Epic Vogue Battle

On Monday, thousands gathered in London to pay their respects to Orlando’s 49 victims. At 6 p.m., those that gathered took part in a moment of silence that was followed by the release of balloons and a respectful applause. Soon after, the crowd broke out into a voguing dance battle, turning London’s city streets into a runway rooted in love and solidarity.
