Charli XCX Announces New Album And Tour

Charli XCX has been taking the industry by storm these past few months, continuously releasing new music and projects. Well, expect her reign to continue because she just announced a new album and tour coming this September.

The album, self-titled as Charli, will consist of 15 tracks, nine of which are collabs with other stars ranging across genres. They include include Sky Ferreira, Kim Petra and Tommy Cash, HAIM, Clairo and Yaeji, CupcakKe, and many others. Fan favourite “1999” feat. Troye Sivan will be on the record, along with Charli XCX’s newest single, “Blame It On Your Love” with Lizzo. Sivan will also be featured on new track “2099.” Will it be a continuation of their first collab? We’ll have to wait and see.

Charli will be Charli XCX’s third studio album, her first in five years (though she did release two mixtapes in between), and it comes out September 13. That leaves our girl lots of time to drop some more singles and videos, so prepare yourselves and get excited.

Along with the new album, Miss XCX will also be going on a headlining world tour, called Charli Live. Starting September 20, the tour will be making three stopovers in Canada—Vancouver Oct 5, Toronto Oct 14, and Montreal Oct 15. Tickets go on sale to the public next Friday, June 21 and can be snagged here.

She also dropped the video for “Blame It On Your Love”and it’s definitely an… interesting one. Let’s just say there’s a whole lot of elf ears, but you can see that for yourself below.
