Charlie Puth And Kehlani’s ‘Done For Me’ Is A Groovy Bop You Need To Hear

The last time we heard Kehlani on a Charlie Puth track was in 2016 for a cover of Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” which was undeniably steamy.

Since then, Kehlani has released her debut album full of kick-ass anthems, but she’s especially been on fire with her recent collabs. She found herself on Calvin Harris’ “Faking It” with Lil Yachty, Post Malone’s “Feels,” Eminem’s “Nowhere Fast,” the “Good Life” from The Fate Of The Furious with hometown homie, G-Eazy, and again for “Crash & Burn.” Her latest project teams her up once again with  iHeart Radio Awards performer Charlie Puth.

With his two singles “How Long” and “Attention” tearing up the charts, Puth hasn’t announced any new projects since his risqué tune with Meghan Trainor, “Marvin Gaye.” But no we know what else he’s been up to.

This week, Puth hinted at the release of a new song with Kehlani, posting a subtle photo together on his Instagram and Twitter teasing the release date “3/15.”

Today, they dropped “Done For Me,” a passionate rendition of what it’s like to deal with unreciprocated love. “I lie for you baby / I die for you baby / Cry for you baby / But tell me what you’ve done for me,” the chorus poses.

The track will appear on Charlie’s upcoming, self-produced album, Voicenotes, expected to drop May 11. “I produced this after an unsuccessful party in L.A., which is what all these records are based off of on my album,” he told Zane Lowe on Beats 1.
