2016 has been a year filled with headlines about a few Donalds—but in this case, we’re talking about Glover, not Trump.
Not only did Glover welcome his first child, create and star in the critically acclaimed FX series Atlanta and get cast as a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Star Wars movie—he might be ending off this year by releasing a new album called Awaken, My Love! under his stage name, Childish Gambino.
We say “might be” because, so far, neither ‘Bino or his reps have confirmed the release. Fans are speculating about the possibility of a new album because of this photo posted on Reddit, which shows the release schedule at his local FYE (an American media retail store) chain.
Don’t see it? Look again—right beneath The Weeknd’s highly anticipated Starboy, the board says Awaken, My Love! is set to drop on December 2.
Amazon also reportedly made the album available for pre-order on its American and German websites, and some fans bought the album even though its release hasn’t been confirmed. Amazon has since pulled the pre-order off its sites.
If Awaken, My Love! is happening—and we really, really hope it is—it’ll be the first time ‘Bino has released a new album in almost exactly three years. It’ll be his third studio album overall, following Camp and Because The Internet. Even though he blessed us with the STN MTN mixtape and Kauai EP in 2014, we’re dying for a new album because, well, Gambino is a mastermind.
In the meantime, watch Childish Gambino’s video for “Sober” below.
