City And Colour Announces New Label And Live Album

Dallas Green, City and Colour

City and Colour frontman Dallas Green has worn many hats in the music business. Singer, songwriter, band member, solo artist, producer, and now, label owner. Just announced, Green has launched his own label called Still Records, an imprint of Dine Alone Records.

In a statement released today, Green says that he hopes to champion new artists with his label. “I see Still Records as a way to draw attention to projects that are important to me,” said Green.

A longtime member of the Dine Alone family, Green said that it was imperative to continue making music at the label that believed in his artistry from the beginning of his career. “Dine Alone was started to put out my first album, and it’s been very successful and grown into something really special since then. Still Records is an extension on those ideals and a place where I’m able to curate a collection of things that I think deserve to be heard and enjoyed.”

The first album released from Still Records will be City and Colour’s Guide Me Back Home, a live album featuring performances from Green’s 2017 cross-Canada tour. An Evening With City and Colour – Solo tour was inspired by Green’s time spent at his new home in Nashville during the 2016 presidential election. Yearning to reconnect with his homeland, Green embarked on a 25-city tour, with Guide Me Back Home featuring performances recorded from coast to coast.

Digital copies of the album will be available starting October 5, with physical copies on sale starting November 23. Just as he did with each ticket purchased for his cross-Canada tour, Green will be donating $1 from every album sale to MusiCounts. Pre-orders for the album start Friday, September 21, but Green has already released three songs from record, including “Sensible Heart,” “Casey’s Song,” and “As Much As I Ever Could.”
