The Beyhive is known for taking their undying dedication to their Queen to the next level—and Beyoncé’s recent decision to drastically change her Coachella act with less than a week away may make or break their love for her (we’re guessing make). Beyoncé increased her previous dozen or so dancers who will accompany her onto the California stage to an insane 100. These quick hires better train fast—after all, they’ll be setting the tone for Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s “On the Run II” stadium tour which will be kicking off a couple of months after Coachella. The couple will be hitting the road to continue the celebrations of their recent 10-year anniversary milestone. No pressure though.
The Weeknd’s recent projects have been successful across the board, blowing critics away to the point where it’s no surprise that he’s a headliner of Coachella’s 2018 lineup. With his recent EP My Dear Melancholy scoring him his third consecutive No. 1 album on Billboard’s 200 chart we can only assume that songs from the mini-album will be featured in his act. But what about his other recent performances? The Weeknd’s soundtrack contributions to Marvel’s most recent film Black Panther could very well reappear at Coachella—and with Kendrick Lamar’s tour not kicking off until May 4 in Vancouver, we’re wondering if an surprise team up might be in order for a live performance of “Pray For Me.” Wakanda forever.
Eminem’s recent tracks have brought the world back into his musical corner, making for one of the biggest and most surprising artist comebacks from the past few months. This revival has also brought an assortment of new artists to his music, with Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé appearing in recent tacks. Considering Beyoncé will also be a headliner at this year’s Coachella—and Ed Sheeran will be finishing a concert in Japan the night before Eminem’s show. We’re wondering if a live performance of Eminem’s “Walk On Water” from his Revival is in order. We’re sure people would want to hear the unique team up in person. Where else would these artist be able to make such a musical splash?
With an April 27 release date for his album Beerbongs & Bentleys, Post Malone has been keeping the world on the edge of its seat with musical anticipation. Not only do we expect some of his new music to premiere during his set, but we’re anticipating that some of the artist collabs he’s been teasing to appear on stage alongside him. Nicki Minaj doesn’t have any current tour dates, but maybe they’ll be hitting up Coachella together with the track Malone previously confirmed she would feature on.
Tyler, the creator surprised fans late last month with the premiere of his previously unreleased Flower Boy throwaway track “OKRA” alongside the song’s music video.
