Coldplay are giving fans a birds eye view on their latest video from their 2015 album A Head Full Of Dreams.
Birds is a psychedelic music video that has the band wandering around Salvation Mountain in the Colorado Desert, laughing and posing in front of religious billboards. Directed by documentary filmmaker and professional concert crasher Marcus Haney, the trippy visuals of Birds gives a dizzying effect that forces the viewer to attempt to make sense of what’s happening on screen. We assume this is what Burning Man must feel like.
In its musicality and visuals, Birds continues A Head Full Of Dream’s colourful theme, with its upbeat backtrack matching the bright colours of the band’s t-shirts and the hand made signs found on Salvation Mountain. With this latest album possibly their last, Coldplay look to be ending things on a high note.
The new single is the second off A Head Full Of Dreams, following Adventure Of A Lifetime.
