How did you get into vlogging?
I started making videos almost four years ago, mostly because I was a bored teenage girl in her bedroom with nothing better to do! I definitely wish I had a more interesting origin story!

What’s your goal in creating vlogs?
My goal is to help people. Whether it’s through one of my DIY tutorials, or an outfit ideas video, I want my channel to be a place where people can leave with a little bit of inspiration for their own lives.

Tell us how you decide what to vlog about.
Something that I am really passionate about is making sure that my content is stuff that I would genuinely watch myself. Whenever I’m planning my videos, I always keep that in mind, and it acts as a kind of quality control for my channel.

How would you describe your style?
My style has definitely gone through it’s evolutions and phases, but as of right now, I would describe my style as minimal and contemporary with a bit of an edge.

What’s your favourite winter fashion trend right now?
I can easily say over the knee boots are my favourite winter fashion trend. Not only are they the only thing that keep me warm in the Canadian winter, but they make me look like you’re more hip and trendy than I really am!

What’s an accessory you couldn’t live without?
It’s a toss-up between my backpack purse and my mirrored sunglasses. Don’t make me pick one!

What are your go-to beauty products?
I always say that if I could only wear three makeup products, it would be concealer, brows, and mascara. I feel naked without one of those three on.

How does a DIY concept come to you?
I find DIY ideas from literally anything in my environment. Sometimes, I’ll even walk down the aisles of a store and for each item, I’ll ask myself, “Can I DIY that for a video?” The answer is almost never “No,” because I always try to problem-solve and figure it out (plus, I’m stubborn).

What’s a DIY you’ve come up with, that you still use all the time?
I actually made my bed comforter, so I use that every night!

What’s something no one told you/you didn’t expect about vlogging?
I didn’t expect to meet so many amazing people. I have met some life long friends and some inspiring people, all because of the Internet!

What’s your all-time favourite snack when filming – i.e. filming fuel?
Anything within a two meter radius is fair game. When I’m filming, I go into this super focus mode and I can’t take long snack breaks! It’s probably not the healthiest thing in the world, but I can’t help it.

Who are your idols?
I have so many, but I guess a classic answer would be Beyoncé. Love me some Queen B.

What’s your pet peeve?
My internet pet peeve is when vloggers film with too much space above their head. I’m probably the only person who notices these things, but I’m just very OCD about compositional things like that!

What’s your most embarrassing fashion moment, looking back?
I used to wear an embarrassing amount of turquoise . If something came in turquoise, it was on my body (yes, sometimes all at the same time).

What’s another talent you have, that your vlog viewers might now see/know?
I really love to draw and sketch! I went to an art school, so it is something that is definitely apart of me. I like to think that it also helps with the creative aspect of my videos.

What advice might you have for a creative girl looking to also become a vlogger/personality in the online space?
I would recommend making whatever YOU want to make. I think there has been a lot of pressure recently for people to make a certain type of content, and it is really hindering the creativity of influencers! If you work hard and make cool videos, there will always be people who will watch and appreciate it.

What’s a dream you have, that you hope to fulfill in the future?
I really want to have my own fashion line, but I know that’s a long way from here. But I’m not going to say it’s unattainable because I don’t want to jinx it.

If someone has never seen your videos, why should they start watching now?
It’s a fun time on my channel! Plus, there’s something there for everyone: DIYs, makeup tutorials, fashion hauls, challenges—it’s a pick your own adventure! I also like to think that I’ve created a little family and community of people, so anyone is welcome to join. Hope to see you there!
